Starting Young with the Ladies

T will be attending his first dance today. You know T- he can get a lil rowdy but I think the 10am start time might mellow him out a little. I just hope peer pressure isn’t an issue today- it can be tough to resist at any age. I can hear it now- “It’s just a sip- this non organic milk will rock your world”, “Come on, a couple teething tablets won’t hurt, just put them under your tongue and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without them”. I hope he doesn’t corrupt too many kids.

Hi first dance is a sock hop- can’t you tell? I spent a lot of time finding the perfect jeans (the first ones I found on sale at Wal-Mart) and coiffing his hair. Who knew that a 1 year old A) wouldn’t sit still for his pampering and B) would not only stick his hand in the styling gel, but proceed to eat it? You’d think I didn’t have a kid these last 14 months. Almost as good as Big Poppa* expecting T to sit quietly beside him while he constructed one of his 5 feet tall birthday toys 2 months after his birthday. I thought he was bad, but I guess I proved this morning that I am just as silly. Once he was finally ready to go, I scooped him up and headed to school. Now, I can’t show you the pic his teacher sent me because that might be illegal/invasion of privacy/punishable by death, but I will tell you that she looked amazing, but I was pretty proud of myself too! Look how handsome my Greaser Baby looks!
So I hope he has fun today, parties like a rock star, and then sleeps all afternoon so he is not a terror for his teachers (I imagine he is going to be all jacked up on high fructose corn syrup and have awesomeness just coursing through his veins and who can sleep through that?)!
Side note- I may or may not be using my punctuation correctly. Parenthesis and apostrophes are not my forte but I promise, if I make it big one day, I will hire a middle school student to edit my work.
*My husband’s new nickname-original, I know. I am trying to not share so much so please don’t look at past posts and see my full name, address, phone number, SSN, blood type and W-2. What? No one told me people might actually use this information against me!
